SURVIVAL ROUTES

Say goodbye to technology and the urban world, with all that it means and hello to the forest, the mountains and yourself on one of our challenging seasonal survival routes for Adults and Teenagers

ADVENTURE AWAITS...

Survival Routes by Project Alzina are challenging and immersive experiences, designed to connect humans with nature. We will live in the forest, sleeping under the stars with only the equipment, food and belongings we can carry.

Experiences promote the development of vital life skills that can help individuals to overcome challenges and develop greater resilience, autonomy and self awareness. Being in the forest with time and space, free of pretensions, of role models, of established molds is an opportunity to discover oneself and gain valuable skills with the assistance of our experienced Guides.

what will you learn?

You will be introduced to basic bushcraft and survival skills. You will cook, navigate, build shelters, build/ learn about fire, take care of equipment and each other.  We will learn new ways of being in the forest and how to live comfortably yet simpy in nature, feeling emotions, listening to your body and mind and using instinctive intuition.

Our focus is on both autonomy and teamwork.  Problem solving, resourcefulness and excellent communication will be needed to thrive during the route.

Instructions and the general programme will be delivered in English language but our Guides are bi-lingual and we aim to ensure all participants are exposed to English language in an a relaxed and enjoyable way.

THE ROUTES

We start our routes from Alzina Forest School where participants spend the first day/night learning new skills and preparing for the expedition ahead.

Once our guides are satisfied that the group is well prepared we commence the route.  During the route we live as one community.  We walk, cook and sleep together and our guides present activities along the way. There will be opportunities to follow individual interests with craft and tool workshops.

The aim is to be present, finding peace in nature and along the way we will practice the art of reflection and journaling. A skill that can assist us in challenging life moments.
